was born and raised in Italy, where, as a child, she studied classical piano and dance. In preparation for a career in show business, Ornella earned a degree in Theory e Solfege from the Conservatory of Music Stanislao Giacomantonio in Cosenza, and a degree in Ballet studies. Her love for and strong training in dance-ballet have provided her with the ambition and skills required to dance with some of the most world-renowned ballet companies in Italy.
At the age of seventeen, soon after completing her dance tour at Compagnia Nazionale of Diana Ferrara (Etoilé of the Opera in Rome), Ornella won a full scholarship to attend the CID of Renato Greco in Rome. Her various talents and curiosity lead Ornella also to study jazz, acting and musical theater, and eventually she discovered a new world for dance and performing arts. Thus, for many years, Ornella performed and worked as a soloist, soubrette and actress in many RAI television programs, such as "Fantastico 6", "Un Altro Varieta`", "Cinema che Follia", "Sentimental", and in theater productions at some of the most famous and prestigious theaters in Italy (such as Teatro Sistina in Rome) in shows such as "Rinaldo In Campo", "Aggiungi Un Posto A Tavola", and "A Chorus Line", to name a few. Ornella also has worked as a model/actress in print and commercial ads. Ornella moved to New York 16 years ago, and now lives in Manhattan with her daughter Carolina. Being very involved in promoting and keeping the Italian culture alive in the U.S., Ornella has created a dance program called "Danza e Musica" to help kids to learn to dance and learn the Italian language in a fun way and also a program called "Jazz On Broadway", designed for professional show business children.
Currently, Ornella is founder of OK Productions LLC, she is producing DVDs about Italian restaurateurs and their fine cuisine, and she is the hostess, creator and producer of the only TV show called "Brindiamo!" broadcasted on NYCTV channel 25.
Additionally, Ornella is authoring an upcoming book which will provide a behind-the-scenes look at her television show and which also will feature 50 of the best Italian restaurants in and around New York City, recipes, interviews and much more.
Ornella has produced three editions of Brindiamo! Magazine, with more editions on the way, and, on October 14, 2010, she launched the first Brindiamo !/IFSE Scholarship.
Ornella further is launching a "Brindiamo Club Card", which is a VIP card for food lovers and the Brindiamo! VISA Platinum credit card. She is currently writing a movie entitled "Brindiamo! - The Movie". and working on a new TV show called "I Piu` Amati Dagli Italiani" a TV show about Soccer and Food, starring former soccer player Sergio Brio.
Ornella is fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish, and also has a degree in education with a specialization as a kindergarten teacher.
She loves working also behind-the-scenes as well, and she loves to promote italian culture and tradition in an upbeat way.
