What to say about Filippo La Mantia?
Well, for starters, he is the most popular chef in Italy at the moment maybe due to the fact that he is the only one that cooks with no garlic, no onion and no soffritto, or maybe because there are books and a movie in the works, all inspired by his interesting life (he was a photo journalist as just four years ago). Or could it simply be that in his black chef outfit Mr. La Mantia (Pure Sicilian) exudes pure, movie star quality?
